Needle Exchange and Supervised Consumption
Needle Exchange and Supervised Consumption have been operating for many years, and Norfolk has extremely good coverage.
Any Contractor can take part in Supervised Consumption, but should ensure they understand the requirements. A training manual can be obtained from the service co-ordinator, Paul Brierley Paul.Brierley@norfolk.nhs.uk
New Contractors wishing to take part in Needle Exchange should also contact Paul Brierley. Because current coverage is already excellent, new participation may not be always approved- it will depend on current access. If you feel that you should be allowed to take part, by all means contact the LPC to discuss.
Payment details and details of the claims process can be obtained from Paul or the LPC.
It has come to our attention that some contractors are not making regular claims. We would encourage you to do so- for your own financial benefit and because it is otherwise difficult for the service to know how it stands with its budgets.
