Chief Officer - Sue Taylor has worked for the two Devon Local Pharmaceutical Committees for just over five years. In her previous life (yes she used to have one!) Sue worked for the local NHS organisations in the areas of community development and partnership working with other health and social care organisations. She sadly always had a particularly affinity with the community pharmacy profession despite not being a pharmacist herself, and has put Devon on the map in terms of community pharmacy development. In her spare time she loves gardening, walking and travelling. Sue has two children Charis, her 27 year old daughter who is an occupational therapist in London, and Alec her 22 year old son who is studying nursing at the University of Central England in Birmingham. |

Secretary - Kathryn Jones is another relative newcomer to the team starting in April 2006. Her role is very much about keeping the office running smoothly and ensuring committee members and the officers are kept up to date and informed. Kathryn has two children, one at University in Herfordshire, the other on a gap year, training race horses, before going off to University in September. All the family are involved with a local sailing Club, and most Sundays are spent by the water. Her daughter has a horse which takes up plenty of time and Kathryn's car can often be seen with large bags of vegetable trimmings from a local hotel which are taken to the stables for a treat for the horses. |

Project Pharamcist - Mark Stone has been a community pharmacist for Lloyds Pharmacy since 2000 and completed his pre-registration in Derriford hospital. Mark says he would very much like to achieve world domination by the LPC position, but failing that just to get a good understanding of how primary care commissioning works and how community pharmacy can achieve a meaningful role in this area. He would also like to understand how pharmacy needs to evolve as a profession to make this possible. In his spare time he enjoys food (sometimes cooking?!) and socializing, and his main hobbies range from going to the gym to sailing and motor racing (badly)! |
