Initially this will focus on asthma, and later in the year on COPD patients. The aim of this initiative is to start integrating community pharmacy in the patient pathway for respiratory conditions and improve patient outcomes by helping them to get the most from their medicines which fits in well with the NHS White Paper as well as local priorities. A letter has been sent out to all community pharmacies in Torbay; a workshop has been arranged for the 9th September in Torbay. Please use this opportunity to strat building relationships with your local GPs.
