Devon LPC has been involved with the ABPI, NHS South West and other parties to develop a project, which is aimed to increase the awareness of medicines allergies. Medicines allergies cause a number of emergency admissions to hospital each year, the Department of Health stated that the number of anaphylaxis admissions to hospital was 3171 people in 2004 and that medicines caused approximately 30% of these cases. … more
