Happy New Year and welcome to the January issue of Kidney Care Matters. It's full of the latest news in kidney care, including updates on two of our projects that are getting underway this month - Supporting young adults with kidney disease and End of life care for advanced kidney disease. For the latter, we are requesting information about any work you're already carrying out in this area, so I hope you let us know about your experiences.
Now that we are half-way through implementation of the NSF for renal services, the Department of Health has published Achieving Excellence in kidney care: Delivering the National Service Framework for Kidney Services, which looks at what's been achieved so far. Click through to read about the report and download a copy. You'll also find links in the library to two recent reports about the future of the NHS: NHS 2010 - 2015: From Good to Great: preventative, people-centred, productive and The NHS Operating Framework for England 2010/11.
